Madison and Mckenzie

Madison and Mckenzie Madison and Mckenzie (aged 8 and 6), the lovely daughters of our friends Nicola and David had a great time. It was a pleasure to see their faces as they sang for the first time ever in such an environment. Madison in particular (on the right) is a massive fan of singing and wants to be a singer when she grows up.

Mckenzie isn’t so obsessed with singing, but once she saw her little sister I could tell by the look on her face she fancied a try, so they swapped over. For some reason Madison sniggered all the way through and when I asked why, she said, “it sounds funny”.

As the photo shows I had them singing together at the end. I need to spend some time trying to find the best bits to use in the song.

It was pure joy to see them so happy and having a play on the keyboards and a small acoustic guitar. For the first time ever I could see why so many people want to become teachers and try to inspire children. Nicola tells me Madison has told her that she now wants a guitar, some keyboards, a microhone and a music room where she can sing without anyone shouting at her to shut up. Bless. Sorry about that Nicola :)
